Gateway Events and Activities
Gateway students have exclusive access to special events and activities. These events include, but are not limited to:
• Private Gateway tours of prestigious medical schools such as Sophie Davis
• Explorer programs that provide an insider look at careers in health care. Students will have the opportunity to visit area hospitals such as Lincoln Hospital and meet with doctor's, registered nurses Pharmacists, Radiologists, Physical Therapists, Therapists and much more. Participants are also given opportunities to volunteer at local hospitals in order to gain hands on experience with healthcare and to get a sense as to whether healthcare is a field that they wish to pursue
• Field trips to medical events such as the closed captioned brain surgery at the Liberty Science Center.
