Darryl Strawberry visits APRCHS
- Philip Randolph Campus High School was thrilled to host New York Baseball Legend Darryl Strawberry on Thursday, May 23rd, 2019.
Mr. Strawberry, a four-time World Series Champion, spoke to an assembly of 9th graders, student leaders, and student-athletes about the challenges of overcoming drug addiction and abusive home life. Mr. Strawberry was very candid with the students and shared his vision that young people need to understand that their lives matter and that they are important to their communities and families. Mr. Strawberry made himself available for questions from the students and stayed after school for pictures and autographs.
APRCHS is extremely grateful for Mr. Strawberry’s generosity in spending so much time with our community.
