HBCU Film Screening 02/08/2024

A. Philip Randolph Campus High School was privileged to host a screening of the film “Historic HBCU Photograph” on 02/08/24.

The film was produced by Mr. Darryl Roberts and his organization Bridging Structural Holes (https://bridgingstructuralholes.org/).

The film aims to celebrate the historic gathering of Alumni from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) in order to highlight the advantages these schools have to offer students.

More information about the film is available on their website: https://bridgingstructuralholes.org/historic-hbcu-photograph

Mr. Roberts assembled a panel of HBCU Alumni who shared their experiences after the film and were available for questions from the student body.

Students were also treated to presentations from South Carolina State, Lincoln University, Grambling State University, and Hampton University.

The event was also attended by Manhattan High Schools Superintendent Gary Beidleman who is a HBCU Alumni himself.

Mr. Beidleman was generous enough with his time to also share the experience he had at Clark Atlanta and how it changed his life.

Students from the Class of 2024 and the Class of 2025 were invited to attend this event on Thursday 02/08/24.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support this event, and to share the opportunities that HBCUs offer our students.
