On October 9th Good Shepherd Services, UNICEF & UN Women invited our Student Success Center female Youth Leaders to attend their International Day Of The Girl: Girls Speak Out 2026 event at the United Nations. Our YL's were able to sit in the ECOSOC Chamber & listened to world leaders; diplomats & fellow advocates discuss issues that affect women all around the world. After the forum, our students were able to meet & have conversations with these prominent women who affect change throughout the world on a daily basis.
Our YL's then got to eat a catered lunch in the Church Center for the United Nations. After lunch our YL's then went on a GSO experience tour of the United Nations. They got to learn the rich history of the United Nations & got to visit various structures & landmarks within the complex.
Attached are some pictures that were taken throughout the day.
