The best way to end Bras for Girls time in NYC: sports bra distribution at A. Philip Randolph High School in Harlem! 🌟

Girls from the volleyball🏐 , wrestling 🤼‍♀️ , and basketball 🏀 teams all attended to get sized and get their sports bra! Almost every single girl had never been properly fitted for a sports bra.

MASSIVE shout out to our 3 QuestBridge National College Match Finalists! QuestBridge received over 25,000 applications this fall, with only 7,026 students becoming finalists (including 3 of our own!) As of right now, our Boys basketball program is over.500 for the 2025–2026 season. Throughout the autumn season, Coach Francisco Stefani, also known as Coach YAE, has been doing a fantastic job managing character and creating team cohesion. We are looking forward to competing in the PSAL JV playoffs and the PSAL Manhattan borough and city playoffs in the 3A division.

College Prep with Ms. Jane Higgins was a success! On Saturday, September 27th, Ms. Higgins met with students and lead writing exercises for our students to work on their personal statements

On Friday, September 26th, Princeton University’s Admissions Director visited students in the SSC! This was a great opportunity for our students to learn all about what the Ivy League school has to offer their new incoming class!

Our very first Workshop Wednesday was a success! For our first workshop of the year, during all lunch periods the SSC YLs gave a quick presentation about the post secondary options their peers are encouraged to pursue this year as well as assisted everyone in creating accounts for their college application portals and FAFSA portal!
