Geriatric Career Development Program (GCD) Students Become Patient Care Technologists
Congratulations to the students in the Geriatric Career Development Program (GCD) who just received their certifications as Patient Care Technologists.
These students are now licensed to work in the healthcare field drawing blood, administering ECGs, and other medical procedures.
The GCD program is based out of the New Jewish Home Nursing Facility and offer students residential internship experience working with elderly patients in a clinical setting.
Students are also provided free SAT preparation, homework help, and mentoring as part of the program.
Special thanks goes out to the GCD program for providing our students with this experience and to Dr. Miriam Stanford Cusack for all of the countless hours of support she has provided to our students in this program.
