Student Success Center

We are composed of three college counselors and eight student youth leaders. We work together to ensure that all students are graduating with a clear post-secondary education through various methods. We hold classroom push-ins, college trips, student-led workshops, college representatives' visits, post-secondary events to celebrate everyone's hard work, and networking opportunities.

Annual 11th Grade College Fair

The Student Success Center along with High School for Mathematics, Science, & Engineering hosted their annual Spring College Fair for our 2026 graduating class. Over 65 reps from various colleges/universities, career, military & vocational programs attended the event & provided information for our junior class as they embark on their postsecondary journey.

APR at John Jay College of Criminal Justice

On Friday May 23rd, A. Philip Randolph Campus High-School / Good Shepherd Services: Student Success Center took some juniors on a trip to John Jay College of Criminal Justice.

APR at Universal Technical Institute Trade School

the Student Success Center took students from the junior class on a trip to the New Jersey campus of Universal Technical Institute. UTI is a technical trade college that offers specialized technical education programs under the banner of several brands. Those brands include, NASCAR Technical Institute, Motorcycle Mechanics Institute & Marine Mechanics Institute. Programs offered at UTI are Automotive Technology, Welding Technology, Electronics & Industrial Technology, HVAC, Robotics & Automation along with others. Students met w/ an admissions officer & were able to get an information session on academics, FAFSA, internships & residential life. Students then went on a campus tour where they got to visit UTI's beautiful campus & various workstations. To end the day students enjoyed lunch provided by UTI.
